Development and Release
Tetsuya Fukuhara, the game director, stated that he would want to see a sequel made. It was unclear whether the original Versus would receive a PlayStation 5 update with small tweaks, but in the end, it was decided to helm the sequel, which was subsequently revealed at the GBVS Cygames Cup Special in January 2023 and is anticipated to be released that same year. The game's debut date was rescheduled from November 30, 2023 to December 14, 2023 in order to allow for more tweaking.
Game 2: Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
An upcoming action role-playing game called Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be released by Paradox Interactive. Based on the tabletop role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade, this World of Darkness title is a sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (2004). Hardsuit Labs was the original developer of the game, but by 2021 it had been relocated to The Chinese Room. It is slated for release in late 2024 on Windows, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
Assuming the role of an elderly vampire in Seattle in the twenty-first century, the player selects which of the several vampire clans to join, which determines their level of vampire power. They feed on the blood of human characters to maintain the player character and their abilities while attempting to break the masquerade, or vampire society's plot to conceal their existence from mortals.
Gameplay
The primary point of view in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is first-person. Players create a vampire character before the game starts, and they can choose a clan background that influences their skills.
The game is set in Seattle, where the player has a variety of options for exploring and interacting with non-player characters. The player will have the option to form alliances with various factions and employ a range of strategies to defeat adversaries.
The player character is a vampire who can feed on humans and requires blood to survive.
The use of specific vampire abilities (referred to as disciplines) or blood feeding in front of witnesses carries a penalty for players since it reveals their vampire identity to the human world. This is against the masquerade, and the gameplay might be adjusted as a result.
Release
Bloodlines 2 was first hinted at in February 2019 when Paradox and Alice & Smith's dating app "Tender" was released. The app claimed to match users with nearby sick people using a "soulmate algorithm" that requests the user's blood type. On March 21, 2019, in San Francisco, the day the game was made public, a memo from the fictional CEO of Tender, Malcolm Chandler, was shown on a Twitch livestream and later on Paradox's official Twitter account. The game was postponed past 2021 along with the announcement of the developer change in February of that year.
The Chinese Room was named as the new developer in September 2023, and the game is slated for release in late 2024 on Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
The game was originally slated for release in March 2020, but it was delayed to an unspecified 2020 release date in October 2019 and then again to an unspecified 2021 release date in August 2020.
Game 3: Black Myth: Wukong
Game Science, a Chinese developer, is set to release Black Myth: Wukong, an action role-playing game inspired by the classic Journey to the West, a 16th-century Chinese novel.
Gameplay
Some have compared the game to Souls. Taking on the role of Sun Wukong's monkey, also known as "the Destined One" in the game, the player must battle a variety of foes. Additionally, the player can change into a huge monster or a flying insect.
Release
Game Science stated in a 2020 interview with IGN China that Black Myth: Wukong would be out by 2023. The game's creator plans to release it on mainstream consoles and PC. The game will retail for a single purchase price with potential DLCs. But according to a brief video that Game Science released in January 2023, the game will actually launch in the summer of 2024.
Game 4: Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
An upcoming action role-playing game called Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is being developed by A44 Games and released by Kepler Interactive. For Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, the game is scheduled for release in 2024.
